Whats in My Closet ?: OOTD 1

Quick Styling Tips:

  • When styling orange pants, pair it with white or black to make the pants stand out.
  • Don’t over power orange with pinks, purples and blues. (it will be way too bright and look like a unicorn threw up carrots and rainbows)
  • My favorite art teacher once told me that when coloring your picture, use the same color from the top of the picture as for the bottom so that the eyes can continue to look up and down. So, in styling orange, use little hints of it maybe for the eye shadow, hair, hat, or another accessory to balance the outfit.
  • A nice complementary color to do with orange is a dark blue or navy and red (but I suggest a small amount like the graphic on my tee)

Winter Skin Care Products

I went shopping yesterday and gathered some products I think will help extract the rough patches of my face and smooth everything out for a flawless natural look!

I used these products before and I have no complaints, I receive more compliments about my face when I have no makeup on, and it is also good to use under your makeup before starting.

(These products are for my dry skin type)

  1.  Rosewater Vinegar Balancing Face Mist by pearlessence { Great for toning your face from dark marks. }
  2. Rose Water Hydrating Face Mist by pearlessence { I spray this usually after I wash my face before I go to bed and after I shower in the morning. I also spray this on my face before I apply makeup and primer. This mist is also a good alternative to finishing spray -dewy- but not long lasting }
  1.  Jasmine Oil Hydrating Oil by Measurable Difference { I apply this oil after I spray the rose water in the mornings. Sometimes I use a small sample for my brushes }
  2. Pure Grapeseed Oil by Life-flo { Grapeseed oil is great for kinky/curly hair. Very hydrating and protective. This oil is also great for the body and face. }
  3. Ashanti Naturals Creamy 100% African Shea Butter by Ashanti Naturals and is a product of Ghana. { This product is the epiphany of to never have dry skin during the winter. I love using Shea butter. Its great for: Skin, stretch marks, wrinkles, dark spots, lips, hair & scalp. }
  1. Goats Milk : coconut fragranced soap enriched with goats milk by Castelbel Porto { This soap was made in Portugal and is amazing on my skin. I do not like to use soaps that have no properties for my body to take away from like Dove or Irish Spring etc. So I recommend this as a body wash soap}
  2. Awaken soap: Deep cleansing for all skin types with peppermint and essential oil by Olivia Care { This is a vegan friendly soap and it is based out of LA, California.

Last but not least…..drink plenty of WATER! Water will clear your acne, your irritation, and keep you hydrated throughout your body all winter long! Infuse it with fruits like lemon, grapes, strawberries, raspberries, etc to feel good on the inside and look good on the outside!

What are your favorite winter skin care products to use? Do you have dry, oily or combination skin?

Overall, I did not get the chance to explore the entire palette, but Urban Decay has alwasy been good to me, and I never get any breakouts from their eyeshadow palettes. HIghly reccommend.
