3 Reasons Why I Cut My Hair

I love my hair and trying out different style, but this was becoming exhausting and time consuming…

I started experimenting with haircuts during the summer of 2018. It felt so good to make a change in my look. If you’ve followed my blog for awhile now, you noticed that I had long hair for quite some time.

Soon enough, I began going to the barber shop to cut the back and sides of my head (since I was not ready to cut my entire head of hair yet) all summer. I would also style it with braids and twists to still have less emphasis on the cut.

Here are Some Reasons Why I cut Everything Off:

  1. I was bored with my hair.
  2. I tried every natural hair style compatible with my hair type.
  3. I needed a change; I felt too insecure and used my hair as a hiding place.

At some point, we all must appreciate ourselves and find beauty in every aspect. However, for myself, I felt very insecure about my forehead, my face, my head shape and struggled with this for a long time. I decided to chop everything off my head using a pair of scissors and two mirrors and felt SO GOOD after that.

After the cut, I noticed that I am more confident when I walk around and meet new people, I do not have to worry about how my hair looks all the time, and I find it easier to manage.
