That’s right folks! Long skirts with sweaters and booties ! Creating a silhouette fit for every body type with elongating the legs and keeping a high waist action line in the torso. Making the body to appear slender and taller. (who doesn’t want that ?)
I love recreating this look with summer dresses or maxi dresses I didn’t get a chance to wear ! Use the bottom half of the dress as a skirt and put a sweater on top and include a belt to create the same high waist look without having to worry about buying more skirts.
Whats fun about this trend is that you get the chance to experiment with funky colors, styles and shapes in the skirt of your choice. Jeans are great but skirts naturally had more room to creativity of layering and styling.
Try this trend out with:
Over sized Sweaters
Cardigans (Add a belt)
Leather Jackets and a sweater you hate
Pleated Cotton or wool skirts
One can go in the direction of classy, chic, prep, or casual in this trend, so have fun with it and explore your hearts desires!
I think I like wearing skirts more than jeans because I don’t have to worry about high waters lol (I am also obsessed with my jean jacket….
AHHH yes, fall is here, and so is my new revamped wardrobe (sike)…
There is seriously nothing like a black turtleneck with a Banana Republic skirt and a good ole jeans jacket. Another favorite outfit of mine that I just cannot stop thinking about. I felt so chic and feminine.
The colors in this outfit went so well. I was pulling solid colors from the skirt which had blue, black and white embellishments. What better way to make a matchy outfit than to add a black turtle neck and a jean jacket to bring an office look into a casual and sexy look!
Cheetah print is trending trending trending ! It is everywhere! However I have a feeling it will be a fad, but I love that it is finally back in style. I pulled together my outfit with a long cheetah print skirt, black boots, black bodysuit and a jean jacket.
Cheetah print pairs nicely with black and neutral solid colors to break up the pattern. If the cheetah print has more black outlines in the design, wear darker solid colors. If the print has more brown tones, wear colors that are neutral.
A pop of red or orange can really bring the outfit together with cheetah print. In my case I used red lipstick to add more brightness in my outfit.
I love cheetah print with jean ! Think of jean as the black solid you need in every outfit. Jean jacket, pants, shirt, or even jean thigh high shoes will elevate the cheetah print and bring it to life.
